HHS Extends Public Health Emergency

Secretary of Health and Human Services, Alex Azar, has officially announced that the national public health emergency (PHE) for COVID-19 has been renewed for another 90 days.  

This most recent renewal was signed on October 2, 2020 with an effective date of October 23, 2020.  As such the PHE will remain in place for 90 days after October 23 unless otherwise rescinded.

This is third renewal of the  PHE which has been in effect since late January 2020.
