2025 - Max Shteiman
State: Louisiana

Max Shteiman is a fourth-year medical student at The University of Queensland-Ochsner Clinical School. As the Louisiana State Delegate Liaison, he has worked closely with the Louisiana Society of Anesthesiologists (LSA) to help plan the 2025 and 2026 LSA Annual Meetings, organize and conduct Naloxone training sessions for local community groups around New Orleans, oversee the development and publication of the annual LSA newsletter, and create new opportunities for medical students across Louisiana to engage with the LSA to contribute to statewide and national professional advocacy efforts. He also currently serves as one of the Crew Leads for the inaugural ASA Medical Student Component Advocacy Crew and is President of his school’s Anesthesia Interest Group (AIG). He would like to thank his mentor, LSA President Dr. Joseph Koveleskie, MD, FASA, for instilling in him a lasting appreciation for the vital role of professional advocacy.
