As substance use disorders (SUDs) become more prevalent, health care professionals from all fields now interact with and are required to care for patients with these diagnoses. This symposium intends to bridge the knowledge gap that many health professionals face in treating patients with SUD in the perioperative period or the chronic pain clinic.
