The ACS Quality and Safety Conference offers an array of content for the operating room team, including anesthesia, surgeons and nurses. Basic Quality Improvement principles are shared throughout the meeting to ensure fundamental understanding and help attendees scope out their own quality improvement projects that they can to implement at their own institutions. This year, ASA will host a session specifically for anesthesiologists and also take part in a collaborative session to discuss the perioperative roles of the anesthesiologist, surgeon, and nurse. Experiences, including successes and failures are shared amongst attendees to foster a collaborative and safe learning environment.
