Course Description: The UAB Heersink School of Medicine’s Department of Anesthesia partners with UAB Clinical Simulation to offer the ASA-endorsed Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesia (MOCA) simulation course to meet the requirements set forth by The American Board of Anesthesiology. The offered courses are designed to realistically re-create challenging clinical cases and enable participants to problem-solve in a manner that is similar to a clinical experience. This is a one-day simulation experience fulfills the Practice Performance Assessment and Improvement (PPAI) Part IV requirements of The American Board of Anesthesiology MOCA program.
