WISeR is a Medicare program that launched in January 2026 in AZ, NJ, OH, OK, TX, and WA. The model uses a targeted prior authorization process that combines Artificial Intelligence with human clinical review. Under WISeR, physicians and facilities must submit prior authorization requests or undergo post-service/pre-payment review for skin and tissue substitutes, electrical nerve stimulators, and knee arthroscopy for knee osteoarthritis. ASA physician leaders and staff are interested in how WISeR has affected your practice since the start of 2026. Your participation in the pre-Town Hall survey will help us frame the discussion and guide future advocacy efforts.
