ASA Officer Speaking Requests

State Components may request an ASA Executive Committee member to speak at their annual meeting one time per calendar year. The officer will provide a 1-hour presentation, updating the component membership on key society initiatives. In the event ASA is unable to send an officer in-person, we may offer to present virtually via a live or recorded platform. If an officer attends a component society meeting in-person, we ask the state component to cover room and tax charges of their hotel reservation for the duration of the meeting. ASA will cover all other expenses. If an officer is asked to provide a presentation on a topic in addition to the ASA Update, we ask the state component to include the leader in their regular Speaker's Policy with regards to reimbursement.

Requests must be made several months in advance to allow for appropriate scheduling and planning. To request an officer visit, please fill out the 2024 ASA Officer Speaker Request. Any questions related to officer visits can be directed to the ASA Component Relations staff.
