ORAC-NORA is an ASA certificate program awarded to health care facilities that demonstrate excellence in NORA services. The certificate is based on a set of 51 criteria that reflect best practices in patient safety, quality of care, efficiency, and the safety of NORA personnel. ORAC is a first-of-its-kind program for standardizing NORA services and assisting anesthesiologists in establishing the resources, policies, and procedures necessary for optimizing NORA locations.
ASA expects to launch the full certificate program in summer 2026.
This product remains under development and may be modified based upon pilot participant feedback and ongoing review.
