ASA member quoted in Modern Healthcare

Modern Healthcare published an article discussing the new opioid prescribing guidelines for chronic pain being proposed by the CDC. Asokumar Buvanendran, M.D., vice-chair of the ASA Committee on Pain Medicine, was quoted in the article stating that the guidelines are “reasonable clinical practice,” and he expects various professional groups will adopt them.
