ASA Committee Vice Chair Discusses Chronic Pain in U.S. News & World Report

David Dickerson, MD, vice chair of ASA’s Committee on Pain Medicine, was quoted in the September 21 article regarding a study that found middle-aged Americans report experiencing more pain than seniors. He commented, “The new findings underscore a reality that has already been on the radar – pain is a growing problem among Americans.” Dr. Dickerson also noted that there’s concern the pandemic will worsen the situation.
