USA Today features ASA statement applauding AMA, AHA suit over No Surprises Act flaws
USA Today featured an excerpt from ASA’s statement commending the American Medical Association and the American Hospital Association for suing the U.S. Departments of Health and Human Services, Labor, and Treasury over major flaws in the regulations implementing the No Surprises Act law. “The rules are a powerful mechanism for large health insurance companies to avoid negotiating on contracts and, ultimately, to extract financial concessions from local community physician practices," the excerpt stated. The piece was also featured in the Statesman Journal (Salem, Oregon).
