ASA member's LTE stresses importance of CAA legislation in Illinois
In the Daily Herald (Arlington Heights, Illinois), Lisa Solomon, DO, FASA, ASA alternate director for the Illinois Society of Anesthesiologists, wrote a letter to the editor (LTE) urging support of Senate Bill 2214, which would allow certified anesthesiologist assistants (CAAs) to practice in Illinois. “When CAAs are added to the team, both patients and hospitals benefit from expanded anesthesia services,” she wrote.
