Last month during a town hall meeting to discuss proposed Practice Expense methodologies, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) requested comments from medical specialty societies. In response, ASA submitted its own comment letter, in addition to a joint letter with the AMA and other medical groups.
ASA appreciates CMS’s commitment to working with the medical community to solicit input on future changes related to practice expense. We look forward to remaining involved in the process to create a new Practice Expense methodology that fairly and accurately assesses the indirect and direct costs across all medical specialties.
