Recently, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) announced the Health Care Innovation (HCI) Challenge. The HCI Challenge will award up to $1 billion in grants ranging from $1 million to $30 million for “compelling new ideas to deliver better health, improved care and lower costs to people enrolled in Medicare, Medicaid and CHIP, particularly those with the highest health care needs.”
CMMI will host two webinars on December 6 and 13.

Interested applicants must submit a non-binding Letter of Intent (LOI) by December 19 to CMMI.
Applications will be processed through the Grants.Gov website and are due by January 27, 2012.
