Late last week, the House and Senate agreed on H.R. 933, the "Consolidated and Further Continuing Appropriations Act, 2013," a short-term funding bill that maintains government spending at current levels for the next six months. Absent passage, the government would have been forced to shut down.
This bill did not address sequestration spending cuts or the imminent two percent sequestration cut to Medicare physician payments scheduled to take effect for services delivered on or after April 1, 2013.
On March 26, the President signed H.R 933.
