ICD-10 Transition

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) intends to hold firm to transitioning to the International Classification of Diseases, 10th Edition diagnosis and procedure codes (ICD-10-CM/PCS) on October 1, 2014. The agency offers resources and guidance to help practices plan and implement a successful transition. These include implementation guides, timelines and other practical information and were discussed in an April 18, 2013 National Provider Call.
