ASA Member Kevin Vorenkamp, MD selected to serve on the AMA CPT® Editorial Panel

The American Society of Anesthesiologists is pleased to announce that Kevin Vorenkamp, M.D. has been selected to serve as a member of the AMA CPT Editorial Panel. As noted on the AMA website, “ The CPT Editorial Panel is responsible for maintaining the CPT code set. The Panel is authorized by the AMA Board of Trustees to revise, update, or modify CPT codes, descriptors, rules and guidelines. The Panel is comprised of 17 members. Of these, 11 are physicians nominated by the National Medical Specialty Societies and approved by the AMA Board of Trustees.”

Dr. Vorenkamp is a faculty member of the department of Anesthesiology and Pain medicine at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, WA. He is actively involved in clinical practice and the education of medical students, anesthesiology residents and pain medicine fellows.
