ASA Mourns Loss of Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden

The American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) joins our nation in mourning the loss of Joseph R. "Beau" Biden III, an Iraq War veteran who served as the attorney general of Delaware and the son of Vice President Joe Biden.

ASA was honored to work with Attorney General Biden during his tenure in office, and appreciated his leadership on behalf of Delaware patients, and physician anesthesiologists. Biden was a featured speaker at the 2013 ASA Legislative Conference. 

Beau Biden died of brain cancer at the age of 46.  He is survived by his wife, Hallie, and their children, Natalie and Hunter. ASA leadership offers their heartfelt condolences to the Biden family, and mourns the loss of this kind man and dedicated public servant.
