 Update: PQRS Informal Deadline extended to December 16

Physician Anesthesiologists and other providers who believe they have been incorrectly assessed on the 2016 PQRS negative payment adjustment now have through December 16, 2015 to request an informal review from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). In 2016, CMS will apply a negative payment adjustment to eligible professionals (EPs) who did not satisfactorily report PQRS in 2014.

All informal review requests must be submitted electronically via the CMS Quality Reporting Communication Support Page (CSP) by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on December 16, 2015.  CMS will contact informal review requestors via email within 90 days of the original request for an informal review, and all decisions will be final.
