ASA Soliciting Member Feedback on Proposed Quality Measures

The American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) is currently soliciting comments on several performance measures currently under development.

The call for public comments is open until September 2, 2016.  To comment on the performance measures, click here.

With impending changes in federal payment systems linking quality measures to payment, including the provisions of the Merit-based Incentive Payment System, ASA remains committed to developing meaningful quality measures for physician anesthesiologists to be successful under these new payment systems. 

Receiving public comments is an important step in the measure development process, intending to ensure that measures are developed using a transparent process with balanced input from relevant stakeholders and other interested parties.
