ASA Soliciting Measure Concepts for 2017 Measure Development

The ASA Committee on Performance and Outcomes Measurement (CPOM) invites members to submit measure concepts for consideration in the 2017 measure development cycle. 

The call for measure concepts is open from January 17, 2017–February 17, 2017. 

Quality measure reporting is essential for local quality improvement activities and the success of physician anesthesiologists in federal pay-for-reporting programs, including the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS). CPOM welcomes anesthesia-related measure concepts across all subspecialties and phases of the perioperative period and remains dedicated to expanding the set of measures available for physician anesthesiologists and other eligible clinicians to report.
