The American Society of Anesthesiologists reminds members that the deadline to apply for Phase 2 General Distribution funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Provider Relief Fund is September 13.
The Provider Relief Fund supports healthcare providers through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and the Paycheck Protection Program and Health Care Enhancement Act (PPPCHE). The funds do not need to be repaid to the US government if providers comply with the terms and conditions.
Phase 2 General Distribution funding is for Medicaid, Medicaid managed care, Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), dental providers, certain Medicare providers, and assisted living facilities and follows the initial, phase 1 general and targeted distributions. More information about eligibility and the application process can be found on the HHS website.
The first step in the application process is for applicants to submit their Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) for validation. Applicants must enter their TIN for validation in the Provider Relief Fund Application and Attestation Portal by Sunday, September 13, 2020 at 11:59 pm ET to be considered for funding.
For assistance in applying, the HHS provider support line is (866) 569-3522; for TTY dial 711. Hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. CT, Monday - Friday.
