Dr. Jesse Ehrenfeld Appointed to Wisconsin Blue Ribbon Commission on Veteran Opportunity.

The American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) commends Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers on his appointment of Dr. Jesse Ehrenfeld to the Blue Ribbon Commission on Veteran Opportunity. A longtime ASA member, Dr. Ehrenfeld is retired member of the United States Navy and is presently a Senior Associate Dean at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Gov. Evers created the commission earlier this year. The commission is charged with collecting stakeholder input on current and future Veteran challenges including affordable healthcare, substance abuse/treatment, mental health, long-term care accessibility/quality, housing accessibility, employment, and more. The commission will report its finding to the Governor by the end of this year. 

Wisconsin is home to more than 300, 000 Veterans. The inclusion of a physician anesthesiologist on this commission will ensure Veterans continue to get the quality care they have earned and deserve.  

Dr. Ehrenfeld has distinguished himself throughout his medical career in the Navy, academics, professional involvement including his current elected role as a member of the American Medical Association’s Board of Trustees, and focusing his many talents on the care of those most in need.
