DOL, HHS, and Treasury Release New FAQs and Guidance for NSA

The Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services, and the Treasury released new FAQs (PDF) about the implementation of certain provisions of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and Title I (the No Surprises Act) of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021. In addition, a new report, Evaluation of the Impact of the No Surprises Act on Health Care Market Outcomes: Baseline Trends and Framework for Analysis (PDF), is now available. The report creates a framework to review the law’s impact on surprise billing, health care costs, and consolidation that will be used in future reports evaluating the impact of the law.
