ASA has developed an application programming interface (API) for state components to "call" the ASA member database and pull in updated member data into the state's member database. This ensures that state components reliably receive current updates to their member records without having to manually download reports and search for the updated data. Note: this is only available to states that participate in ASA's Unified Dues Billing Program.

State component society leadership and staff receive important ASA communications via two listservs.
The 'component-execs' listserv includes component executive directors and staff (and in cases where the state component does not have paid staff members it includes the component's president).
The 'gov4comps' listserv includes each state component president and secretary.
In addition to receiving important communications from ASA, state component leadership and staff and encouraged to use their respective listserv to send and receive resources and feedback from their peers. If you are not currently subscribed to one of these listservs and would like to be added, please contact Component Relations.

ASA provides a Data Portal that includes standard membership data reports. The Data Portal can be accessed by up to 2 staff and/or member leaders from each state component. State components that require member data other than what is provided in the standard reports can submit a data request using the online Data Request Form.
All requests will be handled in the order received with an expected turn-around time of 3-5 business days. For requests that require additional time to fulfill, you will be notified by ASA Data Governance staff. For questions regarding state component membership data, email Component Relations.
