Jun (Jimmy) Ma, MD, is the medical director of perioperative services and chief of clinical operations at Emory University Hospital Midtown and Winship Cancer Institute at Emory Midtown. He leads the company's efforts to innovate in healthcare delivery across the perioperative care continuum, digital health care delivery, clinical quality, and educational partnerships. He is responsible for partnerships with leading healthcare technology companies, and development of novel health technology solutions.
Dr. Azam has served in many capacities over the years, including as a founding member of the USAP National Clinical Quality Committee, corporate business development and practice partnerships, and a recognizable leader in professional societies. He holds positions including the ASA Committee on Practice Management, the Florida Society of Anesthesiologists' Board of Directors, co-chairs legislative affairs for the Florida Society of Anesthesiologists, and is past chair of the USAP PAC board.
Dr. Azam has previously served as the chief of Liver Transplant Anesthesiology at AdventHealth Central Florida. He completed his MBA at George Washington University School of Business, his medical internship at University of Miami’s Jackson Memorial Hospital, and anesthesiology residency training at The Johns Hopkins Hospital.
