Accreditation and Regulation Toolkit
The ASA Committee on Quality Management & Departmental Administration (QMDA) created the Guide for Anesthesia Department Administration (GADA) to assist practices in developing local policies and complying with various federal regulations and accreditation organization requirements. Topics include, but are not limited to, department administration, safety culture, quality program development, accreditation resources, resources on distractions and fatigue, physician re-entry to practice and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' (CMS) Conditions of Participation and its hospital interpretive guidelines (IGs). For each topic, members will have access to summary descriptions, discussions on best practices and reference links to relevant regulatory documents and publications.
