As a nationally recognized Joint Accreditation (JA) Provider, ACHE promotes interprofessional collaborative continuing education (IPCE) activities specifically designed to improve interprofessional collaborative practice. Activities are planned by the healthcare team for the healthcare team. ACHE and ASA are proud to offer both ACHE Face-to-Face credits and Continuing Education Credits as part of this series.

In support of improving patient care, the American College of Healthcare Executives is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), and the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. If you would like to claim interprofessional continuing education credit for this program, please submit the Joint Accreditation form by September 24, 2023.

The ASA-ACHE Level-Up Leadership Series was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive up to 6 Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) credits for learning and change.

Seminar 1: Applying Design thinking to Healthcare’s Most Pressing Challenges Objectives:

  • Develop new skills for analyzing current business model challenges and crafting plausible future alternatives
  • Review trends and leading practices related to solving today's top industry challenges and analyze their potential impact on your organization
  • Gain experience using a design-thinking-based, problem-solving toolkit that can be applied to many challenges beyond this course

Seminar 2: Well-Being; Addressing burnout using data-driven decision-making

  • Describe evidence-based models and expert recommendations beyond traditional human resource offerings for improving professional well-being
  • Identify how healthcare leaders from all areas can influence their surroundings to improve professional well-being
  • Apply an ethical decision-making framework to a variety of scenarios centered around reducing moral distress and improving well-being

Seminar 3: Process and Technique of Negotiating

  • Develop a sound negotiating strategy that employs flexibility, timing, counteroffers and alternatives
  • Control negotiations by the thoughtful use of bargaining power
  • Analyze your opponent’s expectations, position, bargaining power, settlement range and potential arguments
  • Prepare skillfully for your next negotiation

Seminar 4: Resilient Leadership: The Role of Well-Being in Individual and Organizational Performance

  • Acquire tools and resources to increase your resilience, adaptability and leadership response in times of stress, adversity and change
  • Develop an action plan to apply learnings in order to achieve meaningful performance outcomes, both individually and organizationally
