CPT® codes and reporting guidelines are updated annually, making accurate coding a challenge. CROSSWALK® was developed to help you code accurately and compliantly and is updated annually to ensure you have the most up-to-date information.
Anesthesia coding includes many unique challenges and CROSSWALK provides the information you need to meet them. For example, when there is not a one-to-one relationship between surgical CPT procedure and an anesthesia procedure, CROSSWALK provides a list of alternate code choices, and in some instances, additional guidance on how to select the most appropriate code.
The print version is often used by coders and billers at hospitals, practices, payers and billing companies to properly code anesthesia services for specific surgical procedures.
